Megan Burton
Design has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Wisconsin, I spent weekends tagging along with my parents as they remodeled our home — spaces in constant evolution, always shaped by care and intention. It was in those moments that a quiet curiosity took root — a fascination with how thoughtful design can make everyday life not just easier, but more beautiful.
That early spark led me to the University of Minnesota, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. It was there that my passion turned into something tangible. I fell in love with the discipline of design — the balance of creativity and structure, the technical rigor, and the endless possibilities of creating spaces that truly support the people who live in them.
I began my career in commercial design, working in furniture, hospitality, and immersive environments. That experience gave me a strong foundation in both the artistic and logistical sides of this work — from understanding flow and function to managing complex projects and diverse teams. It also gave me a deep respect for the process: the behind-the-scenes collaboration, the careful planning, and the kind of trust that makes great work possible.
Milton House is the natural evolution of that journey — a full-service interior design studio rooted in connection, creativity, and craft. My approach is collaborative and relationship-driven. I take the time to understand how my clients live, what they value, and how their home needs to work for them — and then I design with those rhythms and details in mind.
To me, luxury isn’t about extravagance — it’s about ease, intentionality, and the confidence that comes from knowing your home fits you. It’s the layers you don’t even realize you needed until they’re there: the way a room flows, the feel of the materials, the sense of calm or energy the space brings to your day.
At Milton House, we partner with a trusted network of craftspeople, builders, architects, and industry professionals — all aligned around the shared goal of creating beautiful, considered spaces. I’m proud to lead a studio that values excellence without ego, and that brings a high-touch, boutique experience to every project.
